RTA starts a promo campaign aiming to increase the number of metro users in Dubai
Roads & Transport Authority has introduced a new campaign called “Use and Win.” Now users of the public metro in Dubai will have the opportunity to win Apple’s latest smartphone, iPhone 5, every day until the end of February. With it, the rail agency will try to stimulate people to use the Dubai Metro.
RTA is confident that the campaign will be successful. The agency believes that it will encourage more people to usse the Green and the Red Lines.
The agency will organize a draw every day of this month and pick one lucky metro user. The prize is a brand new iPhone 5. In order to participate in the draw, metro riders must have travelled with the metro at least twice during the day. In addition, they must have used a Nol card (either the Blue, Silver or Golden one).
Travelers, who have taken more trips over the day, will have a bigger chance to win an iPhone. Also, metro users must have travelled in one or more zones on each of the trips.
Before each draw, a team will make a list of all the metro users who fulfill these requirements. Then they will randomly pick one of them using the number of their Nol card. After that, the winning number will be published on RTA’s Facebook page, Twitter profile and its portal. In addition, there will be posters with the winning numbers in the metro stations.
RTA has provided a number (055-4704724) on which winners can call and claim their prize. However, they should do that in not more than 10 days after the draw. Also, for the convenience of its clients, RTA has teamed up with Burjuman Stations and Emirates Airline. Winners will be able to also claim their prizes to them.
