Colourful floats, cultural performances and the festive cheer of thousands of UAE national flag-waving spectators made the Downtown Dubai Parade, National Day, the spectacular celebrations hosted by Emaar Properties to mark the 41st UAE National Day, one of the city’s most vibrant events saluting the ‘Spirit of the Union.’

Downtown Dubai Parade, National Day, now in its second year, is a fitting tribute by Emaar Properties to celebrate the achievements of the nation by saluting its rich cultural heritage, its current developmental successes and future vision.

Hosted at Downtown Dubai, Emaar’s flagship lifestyle destination, aptly described as ‘The Centre of Now,’ the Downtown Dubai Parade, National Day was organised in collaboration with the Dubai Events & Promotions Establishment (DEPE). Over 3,500 participants walked the parade trail, which featured several floats, 200 bikes and a wave of over 10,000 flags of support on route.

The celebrations reflected the incredible achievements of the country over the last 41 years and Dubai’s position as a leading city on the world map, with cultural performances highlighting the multicultural diversity of Dubai, home to over 200 nationalities. Spectators were treated to traditional heritage activities and international entertainment, ranging from the majestic stride of camels and horses to dancers and musicians, among others.

Local and international schools, government entities, international brands, cultural groups, bikers’ and sports clubs and children mascots also joined the parade, adding a splash of fun to the celebrations.

Inflatables representing Emaar Properties by its various entities including Downtown Dubai, The Dubai Mall, SEGA Republic, Reel Cinemas, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, KidZania®, The Address Hotels + Resorts, At the Top, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Marina Mall, were exhibited during the parade.

Downtown Dubai’s attractions include Burj Khalifa, which also features At the Top, Burj Khalifa, the world’s highest observation deck with an outdoor terrace; The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination; The Dubai Fountain, the world’s tallest performing fountain; world-class residences; commercial offices and the Emaar Boulevard, a 3.5 km boulevard lined with retail and F&B attractions.
