The UAE will be the next country to host the 160-year-old global event, Dubai Expo 2020 and has selected the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, with a focus on sustainability, mobility and opportunity.
World Expo’s attract millions of visitors to explore and discover pavilions, exhibits and cultural events, staged by hundreds of participants including nations, international organisations and businesses.
With news regarding Expo 2020 Dubai slowly beginning to trickle in, we can proudly reveal the winning designs for three of the pavilions.
The designs were picked as part of an architectural competition, with the winning entries selected from the design’s of thirteen architectural firms.
The Mobility Pavilion
The Mobility Pavilion comes from Fosters and Partners. The London based architects have constructed projects on six continents. Drawing on four decades of experience, the firm have also been involved in Dubai’s Index Building and the masterplan for Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City.
