A new survey called “Ultimate Fun City” has ranked Dubai among the world’s most fun cities for travellers. The city is 19th on the global list. However, Dubai is first in the Middle East region.

The survey was conducted by GetYourGuide and GoEuro and it featured a total of 1,800 cities. All of them were assessed across a number of factors, among which are activities, museums, sport clubs, shopping, concerts, clubs and many others. Only 25 of them made it to the Ultimate Fun City list.

Dubai showed an impressive performance in the category concerts, where it is ranked at the 12th position in the world. Many big names in the music industry had already performed in the emirate. The latest of them is Lady Gaga. In 2015, Dubai will also welcome One Direction and Robbie Williams.

The city is also 12th in activities, surpassing both Vienna and San Francisco. Dubai’s performance in the categories sports clubs and museums and galleries is also quite impressive. Of course, the emirate is in the top 20 in terms of shopping as well.

The only things with which travellers seem least happy in Dubai are its clubs and bars. Yet, even in these categories, the city is not at the bottom of the ranking.
