Beverage Industry Professionals Meet in Dubai

Beverage Industry Professionals Dubai The Arab Asian Beverage Alliance (AABA) hosted its first Networking Lunch for professionals from the Beverage Industry to discuss and address the challenges prevailing in the Beverage Industry. The Networking Lunch was held today at the Palace Hotel, Downtown Dubai.

The AABA serves as a platform for Professionals and Institutions involved in Non-Alcoholic Beverages to share their Expertise and discuss their concerns in the Industry. Over 70 Top management professionals from the Beverage Industry attended the meeting. Major players from the Industry like Coca- Cola, Krones, SIG Combibloc Obeikan, Del Monte, Crown, Symrise, Parker, Aujan, Nestle, Ecolab, Husky, Nordson, Pacman –CCL, Unitra , Aramtec, IFFCO, Al Rawabi made their presence.

Dr. Ahmed Al Banna – Secretary General of the AABA addressed the gathering and presented the facts and figures for the Middle East and Asian Beverage Market trends and forecast for the coming years. He emphasized in his presentation on strengthening the role of the AABA in addressing the challenges and finding proper solutions in addition to providing the sufficient support for various Government Entities.

Dr. Ahmed Al Banna highlighted the fact that the Middle East Beverage Industry is improving positively. He said: “the figures that we have here shows a potential of a raise in the coming years. There are plenty of opportunities available for suppliers and also for the Manufactures of the Beverage Industry. I would also like to stress on the important role of the Dubai Drink Technology Expo (DDTE) which has the full support of the AABA. The DDTE will act as a pillar for the Beverage Industry in the region.”

In addition, Dr. Al Banna stressed on the vital role that education plays in such an industry. He also assured that the show will give a good share of its program to workshops and seminars which have high practical relevance to the Beverage Industry.

At the end of the networking meeting, the attendees unanimously suggested that the AABA should create an advisory board that includes members from the beverage industry who can share their expertise and knowledge to support the intentions of the AABA and also to contribute in making the DDTE one of the major event in the region.
