Christmas festivities

For memorable Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations with family and friends, consider an Atlantis gourmet dining experience. Value-packed set menus are available at most of the resort’s 20 restaurants. This includes fine dining at Nobu, Ronda Locatelli and Rostang, as well as an incredible underwater dining experience at Ossiano. Also offering set menus are the award-winning Seafire steakhouse, the spectacular Nasimi Beach, family favourite Kaleidoscope, and Time Out’s Best Brunch 2012 winner Saffron. “We have ensured our restaurants are offering all types of Christmas celebrations,” commented Serge Zaalof, Managing Director of Atlantis the Palm. “We’ve had great feedback from guests that our menus bring the best of a traditional Christmas meal, as well as a range of quality gourmet choices. We continue to strive to offer the perfect Christmas celebration for our guests,” continued Zaalof.

Seafire Christmas Day Brunch will be a sumptuous affair, featuring provider, ‘butcher shop’ and seafood stations, as well as decadent dessert stations, surely to be a hive of activity. On both Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Time Out’s ‘Best Brunch’ 2012 award winner turns on an incredible festive feast, with cuisines from every continent. From the Ice Bar with its freshly shucked and peeled seafood to the Hawker Noodle station, ice cream teppanyaki counter and crepery, Saffron’s winning elements remain. Added joyful surprises include Panetone station, freshly baked cookies and sweets from around the world.

Looking for Christmas on a white sand beach? Nasimi Beach will offer traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings. No restaurant creates a gourmet festive feast for families quite like Ronda Locatelli, with favourites including homemade chestnut ravioli, and pumpkin, burrata cheese and truffle pizza.

The Atlantis Christmas Shoppe will continue to excite visitors with its walls entirely made of gingerbread. This year the team has added more innovative elements and scrumptious treats. “The Christmas Shoppe will be even better and more sublime. We look forward to delighting visitors with a White Christmas Wonderland and offering authentic treats from home. It’s a great place to stop in and stock up for Christmas delicacies such as puddings, cakes and cookies,” commented Chef Philippe Agnes, Executive Pastry Chef and the culinary whiz that leads the team creating the Christmas decadence.

The most unique gift this Christmas will be a gift voucher of the resort’s marine encounters. Gift givers can choose to purchase an Ultimate Dive in The Ambassador Lagoon, a Dolphin Encounter at Dolphin Bay or Shark Safari at Aquaventure. Loved ones will be delighted that you have given them such a special once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A range of festive activities are available for children and teens. Atlantis Kids Club offers the Elf Tuck-In experience for children of all ages staying in the resort. Children will be read a personalized story, tucked in bed and receive a present from one of Santa’s elves. Santa will appear throughout Atlantis’ restaurants and Kids Club, and he has also made time for photos in his sleigh in Poseidon’s Court. On Monday, 23 December, Kids Club will have a Santa-themed workshop whilst Club Rush will celebrate a traditional Christmas.

For charitable festive cheer, the Tree of Hope is placed in The Grand Lobby, with all donations under the tree going to the children from the ‘Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs’.

Why not bring the family to Atlantis for an entertaining break together, with rooms available over Christmas starting from AED2752++ for guests staying a minimum of three nights*.
