BCBGMAXAZRIA-owned French fashion store Manoukian opens in Dubai Mall

  • The brand Manoukian was bought by Max Azria, founder of BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, in 2005, as part of his return to France – the designer’s adoptive country.

Manoukian, the fresh French fashion brand opened its first Middle Eastern store in the Dubai Mall, Wednesday, July 21st, 2010.  The launch was a huge success, with customers applauding the vibrant launch, the welcoming staff and, above all, the exquisite clothes.  The success of the launch can be supported by the number of attendees seen during the evening.

Phillippe Hallani, Director of Wholesale Europe for Manoukian, was quoted to have said how delighted he was to be opening the first Manoukian in the region: “The launch of the first Manoukian store in the Middle East was a great success – and the attendance at the store in the Dubai Mall was fantastic.  We’re looking forward to the Manoukian brand going from strength to strength and expanding across the region, encouraging it to become a recognised fashion brand – whilst retaining its French roots of classic, chic style.”

The stylish launch event included live entertainment from DJ Venus and in addition to models showcasing the latest collection from Manoukian, the store also featured a pop up photography studio, encouraging visitors to be their own fashion models. The “Shoot Yourself” concept enabled people to immerse themselves in the brand by being their own model – and using cameras with remote controls to take their own photo, in which they received a framed copy of on the night.

Shelly Marshall, experienced the “Shoot Yourself” studio said:  “The “Shoot Yourself” studio was fantastic!  I was able to style myself exactly how I wanted before being professionally photographed in the Manoukian in-house studio.  It was great to experience what it’s really like to be in the lime-light; my friends and I really felt like celebrities!”
