Dubai Shopping Festival Final Weekend: Mega Sale, Music Concerts

The final weekend of the 26th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) will bring the curtain down on seven weeks of incredible sales and much more. Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), organisers of DSF, has put together a great selection of events to say goodbye to another great DSF, which concludes on Saturday, 30 January.

Taking place at malls and retail outlets across the city from 28 to 30 January, the DSF Final Sale will see 300 brands drop prices on a huge range of items at more than 1,000 stores. Shoppers can enjoy a final weekend of last-minute retail discovery with deals, promotions, offers and savings from 25 to 90 per cent on in-demand fashion lines, the latest lifestyle products, children’s toys and much more.

The Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Khawaneej’s Enchanted Garden theme, inspired by the children’s book Alice in Wonderland, continues into the last weekend of DSF. Families can enjoy bites from local eateries who have set up stalls at The Hub, at the nearby Quranic Park, with foodies able to sample sushi rolls, chocolate treats and a range of other dishes from 4pm onwards until 30 January. Market opening times are Thursday to Saturday, 4pm to 2am. 

The world’s leading international literary festival and the Arab world’s largest celebration of the written and spoken word, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature will take place from 29 January to 13 February. This year’s event will be held at the Jameel Arts Centre, the InterContinental Dubai Festival City hotel and at Alserkal Avenue in full accordance with all health and safety rules and procedures. Taking place at The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Catwalk until 30 January, Shoetopia lets shoppers discover exclusive shoe collections belonging to some of the most famous and fashionable footwear experts and style stars, with iconic and hard to find shoes on display. Key retailers in The Dubai Mall include American Rag Cie, Bloomingdale’s and Level Shoes. Industry figures, influencers and fashion icons will discuss future trends, sustainability and all things shoe style related while visitors can personalize and customize their own shoe designs, buy the latest looks using a QR code, earn double Emirates Skywards Miles with each footwear purchase and win sought-after shoes. Over the weekend Level Shoes will offer free daily customization workshops from 4pm to 8pm with visitors able to scan their sneakers to explore a personalisation hub service using AR (augmented reality). Prizes will be up for grabs at the claw machine and Brought Presented By will showcase exclusive and limited edition sneakers and collaborations while a Shoetopia Talks event will feature Alfredo Piferi and GenX Level Shoes trainees. 

The Beach opposite JBR and Bluewaters will host the twice nightly DSF Drone Light Shows throughout the last weekend of DSF. A total of 300 drones will lift off at 7pm and at 9.30pm for the free shows that run until the end of DSF on 30 January. One performance, titled ‘Dubai, A City of Adventure’, will show how there’s so much to see and do in Dubai, with everyone’s favourite characters Modesh and Dana going on a journey to explore the city. The other show, titled ‘Dubai, From the Past to the Present’ will reveal the city’s journey and will feature the official DSF song ‘Dubai Kawkab Aakhar’ which translates to ‘Dubai is another planet’.

DSF might almost be over, but there’s still lots of great ways to win life changing prizes. The DSF Supercar Raffle will give away a AED6 million W Motors Fenyr SuperSport to one lucky winner. Shoppers who buy a special scale model of the Fenyr SuperSport for AED1,500 will receive a coupon to enter the draw. The scale models are available to buy online only, at  www.mydsf.ae and www.idealz.com. The raffle is open until 30 March.

Tickets for the INFINITI Mega Raffle are priced at AED200 and can be purchased at selected ENOC and EPCO petrol stations, Zoom stores and Dubai Metro stations. Shoppers who spend AED200 at The Gold Souk, Global Village and participating shopping malls will enter a raffle to win an INFINITI QX60 and AED200,000. One raffle winner will walk away with an incredible AED500,000 on the final day of DSF. Shoppers who spend AED25 on non-fuel items at any EPCO or ENOC petrol station in Dubai will enter the Nissan Grand Raffle to win a brand-new Nissan and cash prizes each day of DSF.

Dubai Shopping Malls Group’s (DSMG) Spin & Win Raffle is giving away cash prizes of up to AED100,000. Shoppers visiting their nearest community mall will have the chance to win cash prizes during the final Spin & Win event on 30 January, while the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) is giving away gold to shoppers. Customers who buy jewellery at any of the 180 participating DGJG outlets will enter the raffle. Every other day during DSF, four winners will share 1kg of gold equally. On the final day of the festival an incredible 3kgs of gold, worth hundreds of thousands of dirhams, will be shared equally among 12 winning shoppers as part of mega a grand finale prize draw.  

Budding dance stars can celebrate the recent global launch of the iconic ‘Ya Salam Ya Dubai’ song during the final weekend of DSF by taking part in the #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge. Created as a musical tribute to Dubai and already proving to be the next big social media dance craze, the #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge is open until 14 February with great weekly prizes to be won. All of the song’s dance moves are easy to follow, quick to learn and fun to perform. Dancers need to record themselves performing the moves for 30 seconds and upload their video using @dsfsocial on Instagram, on TikTok using @discoverdubai, or to any other social media platform of choice using the hashtags #YaSalamYaDubai, #MyDSF and #MyDubai. Videos must be recorded in line with health and safety rules.
