• Update: In Dubai and UAE, you can watch The Oscars 2016 on OSN Premiere 2

It’s almost time for the Oscars 2016! This is the most exciting show of the year, studded with glamorous celebrities’ appearances, emotional performances and style statements on the red carpet.

Chris Rock, who’s hosting the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday night and the nominees have quite a show lined up this year.

If you don’t want to miss a minute of it, you don’t have to be near a television set to watch the awards ceremony. This year it’s easier than ever to watch one of the biggest nights in Hollywood while on the go. To live-stream the ceremony and catch all the must-see red carpet moments and get behind-the-scenes scoops, you can simply go to the official Oscars website or search for the live stream on YouTube. If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, you might be able to watch the full show at any time after the release, but if you are not yet, better opt for a free trial here.

In UAE, usually Dubai One covers the Academy Awards live, but the timing is very early in the morning on the same day. You will most probably sleep during the red carpet appearances. Still, on Monday morning between 7 am and 10 am you might be able to watch parts of the awards ceremony. If Dubai One doesn’t broadcast The Oscars 2016 live, other TV channels like ABC and OSN will offer full coverage.

If you are a devoted fan, don’t get upset, because the TV channels usually repeat compressed versions on the evening of the day after.

In all cases, through international TV channels, you will have an opportunity to see the most stunning outfits on the red carpet and to watch the moving speeches of gratitude of the winners.

  1. If Dubai One will not broadcast The 2016 Oscars, this will be indeed a disappointment for local fans. Still, they will be able to watch the ceremony online, or on other international TV channels. ABC is the official TV channel this year.
