World Travel Awards opens voting for Asia, Australasia

Online voting for 2013 has now opened and the organizers of the awards are encouraging both trade and consumers to submit votes in order to determine those companies and organizations who excel in travel, tourism, and hospitality in the Asia&Australasia region. Awards to find the leading companies and organizations across different categories include “Leading Airline,” “Leading Tourist Board,” “Leading Destination,” “Leading Boutique Hotel Brand,” “Leading Experiential Holiday Resort,” “Leading Business Hotel,” ”Leading Design Hotel,” ”Leading Themed Resort,” ”Leading Apartment Hotel,” and many others.

Among the middle East based nominees are the Emirates Airline and Qatar Airways, Anantara Hotels in UAE.

World Travel Awards is celebrating a landmark 20th year as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry.” In the Asia&Australasia region, travel, tourism, and hospitality companies will compete for the prestigious top accolades culminating in a glittering Gala Presentation Ceremony in Singapore.

WTA’s 2013 Grand Tour has already visited the Maldives and Dubai (UAE), and will be holding Gala Ceremonies in Kenya, Antalya (Turkey), Lima (Peru), Antigua, and Singapore during the year. The winners of these regional heats will progress to the Grand Final, which will take place at the end of 2013.

The ceremonies are widely regarded as the best networking opportunities in the travel industry, attended by government and industry leaders, luminaries, and international media.
