Sources claim that Apple plans to announce the release of a new iPhone at the company’s media event on 12th September. The mysterious smartphone now is referred to as “N42”. However, it is reported that N42 is actually the hotly anticipated iPhone 5.

Since few months, online media sources keep “leaking” information that Apple’s new device will be taller and thinner, and will have a 4” screen with a better resolution and features.

In addition, back in May it was announced that the company was also developing an N41 version of iPhone 5. However, now it becomes clear that N42 will replace this model. The N41 version was reported to have a NFC (wireless communication technology that enables the exchange of data between devices). But the new N42 is not expected to offer such a function.

A number of internet sources posted photos of the next-generation iPhone. It was revealed that Apple’s new smartphone will be thinner and will have a smaller connector.

AliExpress by Alibaba.com Just recently, a U.S. based retail chain leaked the prices of some of the new iPhone versions. The lowest price of the new models of the device is $199 and the highest – $399.

It is also reported that iPhone N42 and iPhone 4S won’t differ much in price. This may suggest that the new device will have the same memory capacity as iPhone 4S, which came into 3 different versions (16GB, 32GB and 64GB).

Pre-orderes are expected to start after Apple’s official announcement next week. However, as usual, the iPhone 5 will not be distributed in one and the same time around the world. Previously, it toke Apple two months to ship iPhones to Dubai.

There is also information that accessories for the new device, like cases, adapter and cables, may be released together with iPhone N42. In addition, Apple will reveal a series of new iPod models at the big event next week.
