Make your visit to At the Top, Burj Khalifa, the world’s highest observation deck with an outdoor terrace, even more remarkable and memorable.

Visitors now have the option of buying gold bars emblazoned the inimitable logo of Burj Khalifa that can be purchased through Dubai’s first ‘Gold to Go’ vending machines that have been set up at the most popular tourist destination in Dubai.

Coated in 24-carat gold, the ‘Gold to Go’ vending machines provide customers four types of gold bars – each bearing the logo of the global icon – available in sizes ranging 2.5gms, 5gms, 10gms, and 1 ounce.

Issam Galadari, Chief Executive Officer – Dubai Operations of Emaar Properties: “Every visit to ‘At the Top, Burj Khalifa,’ is a memorable experience for our guests. Now with the setting up of the ‘Gold to Go’ vending machines, they can add to the thrills by buying gold souvenirs of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building and a true Global Icon.”

The ‘Gold to Go’ vending machines are located at At the Top, Burj Khalifa, Level 124, as well as in the souvenir store at the entrance of At the Top at The Dubai Mall’s Lower Ground Level.

Thomas Geissler, CEO of Ex Oriente Lux AG and inventor of the world first gold vending machine, said:”A visit of such an excellent establishment quite simply deserves a very special souvenir. What could be more exclusive than a gift of pure gold? And unlike the most souvenirs, your Burj Khalifa gold bar will never lose its value and give pleasure for the next few hundred years.”

Burj Khalifa was recently honoured with the ‘Global Icon’ status by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), an honour bestowed for tall structures only once in 10 to 15 years, and At the Top, Burj Khalifa was most recently voted as the ‘Best Tourist Attraction’ at the ‘Best in Dubai’ awards.

Attracting over a million visitors since its opening in January 2010, the At the Top, Burj Khalifa experience begins at The Dubai Mall’s Lower Ground level. The reception area of the attraction features a large illuminated model of Burj Khalifa that introduces and familiarizes visitors with the various sections within the super-tall building.

The time-stamped ticket price is AED 100 for adults, AED 75 for children up to 12 years and free for children under 3 years. For those who simply cannot wait, immediate entry is AED 400 per person, subject to availability. The journey to At the Top, Burj Khalifa is also marked by multimedia displays – ‘Dubai Then and Now’, ‘From Earth to the Sky’ and ‘From Vision to Reality’ – which narrate the evolution of Dubai and Burj Khalifa.

The ascent to the 124th floor is by a double-deck elevator, each deck carrying up to 14 people and travelling at an amazing 10 metres per second. High windows circle the entire viewing platform, and, for AED 10, visitors can scan the horizon and the distant streets below through computerised viewfinders, which also have pre-programmed day and nighttime vistas of the city and surrounding region. Visitors can also buy official merchandise from the At the Top retail boutique.

A fully-established lifestyle community with world-class homes, office space and the world’s first Armani Hotel Dubai, Burj Khalifa, 828 metres (2,716.5 ft) high, is at the heart of Downtown Dubai, the 500-acre mega development by Emaar Properties, described as ‘The Centre of Now.’ The most definitive lifestyle development in the city, Downtown Dubai features two malls – The Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar.
