Mediac Communications today announced the dates of the 2010 Dubai Helishow, the Middle East region’s largest trade show for the helicopter industry. The fourth edition of the Dubai Helishow – the International Civil and Military Helicopter Technology and Operations Exhibition will cater to the region’s growing civil, medical, military, and search and rescue sector needs. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that the Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to the Greater Mekong Subregion (TTM+ 2010) will be held from 8 – 10 September 2010, at the IMPACT Convention Center (Hall 9), Muang Thong Thani.

The Thailand Travel Mart Plus is the country’s premier annual trade event designed to promote travel and tourism to Thailand and its neighbours in the Greater Mekong Subregion.

Automechanika Middle East Opens Doors

The region’s largest and most representative trade and networking event for the automotive aftermarket industry, got off to a great start at the Dubai International Con-vention and Exhibition Centre today.

Automechanika Middle East 2010 which will run from May 25th to 27th, was inaugurated by Lt. Col. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police.

Emirates Green Building Council’s ‘Focus Day’ to Feature Best Industry Practices

The Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC) will host a special ‘Focus Day’ to highlight the latest pilot and development studies on best practices at the inaugural Green Building Middle East Summit in Abu Dhabi, organizers of Arabian Construction Week (ACW) announced today.

Designed to address the misconceptions associated with the issue of additional cost associated with green building, the Emirates GBC Focus Day include seven in-depth workshops covering different aspects of green construction, including regional councils, regulations, codes and guidelines, materials and products, new designs, existing buildings and services, impact and rewards of green building as well as green building education.

To be held on 26 May, the Emirates GBC Focus Day will be part of the Arabian Construction Week that will run from 24 – 26 May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Read more

MMS 2010 expects 20 percent increase participation over 2009

According to the IPSOS Media Index Data 2009, UAE leads in the GCC with 32.7 percent of newspaper advertising space, as of 2009. Advertising expenditure in the UAE for 2009 touched AED1.5 billion and forecasts suggest that there would be a compound annual growth rate of 11 percent until 2013. Read more

Eighth Dubai City of Gold Conference to be held in association with 16th Dubai International Jewellery Week

The Seventh Dubai City of Gold Conference ended on a high note with the industry looking forward to benefit from gold’s re-emergence as a safe haven and an attractive option by the global investor community. Despite the challenges of high prices and changing consumer preferences, industry experts expect a modest recovery in gold jewellery sales.
At the successful conclusion of the event, which was held in the iconic Almas Tower in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group announced that the next edition of the event will be held alongside the 16th Dubai International Jewellery Week (DIJW) on 23rd April 2011.]
