Dubai is all set to host a celebration of the global fashion industry and style trends with Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience on Thursday, October 10, 2013, from 6pm to 3am at The Dubai Mall.
Organised by Emaar Properties, the global property developer, and Vogue Italia, one of the world’s most influential fashion magazines, Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience is the Middle East’s first-of-its-kind celebration of international fashion on a never before witnessed scale.
With a spectacular line-up of diverse fashion-related activities, the gala event will be attended by legendary designers, supermodels, television stars, opera singers, dancers, artists, and industry tycoons.
In an unmatched showcase of fashion, more than 250 leading brands that operate flagship outlets at The Dubai Mall will present their latest style trends. Additionally, young talent from across the world, mentored by Franca Sozzani, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, will showcase their creativity at colourful fashion shows to be attended by the visiting celebrities. Exclusive fashion creations and lifestyle experiences will be auctioned at a charity dinner gala at The Pavilion, Burj Khalifa, to raise funds for Dubai Cares, the charity founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to promote children’s education in developing countries across the world.

High Profile Guests
The high profile guests who have confirmed their participation at the spectacular event is a veritable who’s who of the fashion industry.
In addition to the world’s most-admired fashion legends Donatella Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Silvia Fendi, as well as renowned designers Riccardo Tisci, Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared, Remo Ruffini, and Philipp Plein, among others, Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience brings top-notch names who define the latest trends in the global fashion industry.
Illustrious super models Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova, in addition to Eva Riccobono, and Afef Jnifen (who will also serve as the Masters of Ceremony for the event), will be joined by French actress Clotilde Marie Pascale Courau and film celebrities including Sabrina Ouzani and Amelle Chahbi.
Celebrated Italian operatic tenor Vittorio Grigolo; Italian danseur and principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre and guest artist at La Scala Theatre Ballet, Roberto Bolle; singer and TV celebrity Maya Diab; photographer and Emmy Award-nominated director Francesco Carrozzini; art curator Francesco Bonami and artist Francesco Vezzoli, will bring the power of artistic creativity to Dubai.

Fantastic Fashion Showcase
More than 250 international fashion brands will showcase their most representative creations at Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience. Highlighting the latest trends and fashion milestones, the exhibitions have been specially curated to captivate visitors. The participating brands include: Versace, Armani, Valentino, Chanel, Dior, Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, and Dolce & Gabbana, among others.
A highlight of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience is an exclusive photography exhibit of 50 of the most iconic covers of Vogue Italia. The retrospective will include some ground-breaking covers featuring women of different age and race that helped establish Vogue Italia as one of the most influential publications in the fashion industry. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the ‘super model experience’ by customising the cover of Vogue Italia with their own portrait shot by a professional photographer.
An eco-friendly section will present short films on eco-fashion projects as well as eco-friendly collections as examples of the sustainable initiatives of Vogue Italia’s editorial staff. During the event, dedicated stands will sell copies of Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue as well as official Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience t-shirts, shopping bags and other merchandise.
The participating stores will exhibit merchandise for sale, created especially for Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience, with part of the proceeds from the sale also going towards Dubai Cares.
Nurturing Youth Talent
Selected under Vogue Italia’s stringent international standards, eight up-and-coming designers will showcase their work at the event. The designers selected to present their collections are: Wadha Al Hajri from Qatar; Mohammed Ashi and Razan Alazzouni from Saudi Arabia; Lulwa Al Amin from Bahrain; Ituen Basi from Nigeria; Simone Rocha from Ireland; Andrea Incontri from Italy; and Esme Vie from Russia.
