Bin Harmal lauded the role that the “Hamdan Bin Zayed” scholarships has played in encouraging students to put in the effort needed for outstanding academic achievement. “The scholarship has also succeeded in promoting healthy competitiveness between Grade 12 students who have worked hard to be awarded a prestigious scholarship, allowing them to enroll in any of Abu Dhabi University’s diverse undergraduate programs. These programs are offered in various areas such as engineering sciences, business administration, environmental sciences, information technology, computer sciences and many other disciplines that provide the labor market with specialized graduates who can meet the requirements of the Policy Agenda of the Government of Abu Dhabi and its Economic Vision 2030”, added Bin Harmal.

Bin Harmal went on to explain that Abu Dhabi University monitors the needs of the labor market in Abu Dhabi and explores the future of the workforce needed to supply that market. “We are also focused on training our graduates to be fully equipped with the skills that qualify and enable them to contribute effectively in a knowledge-based economy, and to fulfill the directives of our country’s wise leadership in this issue”, concluded Bin Harmal.

On his part, Dr. Nabil Ibrahim Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University urged the students to preserve their successful academic achievement throughout the four years of the scholarship. He pointed out that the students must be committed to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.70, and a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to continue their scholarship.
