Effective today, salary certificates and any other letters related to a Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) company’s business operations will be issued electronically. According to Fragomen, the world’s leading corporate immigration services provider, this will simplify certain business procedures.

The newly launched service allows authorized DIFC portal users to access official letters including no-objection certificates to set up a company, certificates of incumbency; no-objection certificates for temporary work permits and liquor licenses, and employment confirmation letters among many others. Certificates can now be printed directly from the DIFC website, eliminating the need to physically collect them at the counters.

In respect to the introduction of e-services for DIFC business operation documents, Murtaza Khan, Partner, Fragomen Middle East, comments on how this fits within the wider business landscape in the UAE.

“The introduction of the new e-services for DIFC document processing continues to expand the move towards smarter solutions both in the DIFC and across the UAE” said Murtaza Khan, Partner at Fragomen, Middle East.

To ensure strict security measures are in place, each printed document will be marked with a unique code to verify its authenticity and validity through the DIFC website.

Khan added: “More and more employment and immigration procedures are being made available through e-portals which is helping to create a more streamlined experience for users and is ensuring higher security levels for the nation. We expect that following the success of this initiative in DIFC, more documents will be made available through e-portals and other UAE jurisdictions will introduce similar services.”
