Amazon today announced a new streaming media device called Fire TV Stick, just months after it launched its Fire TV set-up box.

According to the company, Fire TV Stick is the most powerful streaming media stick. The Fire TV Stick can be connected to an HDTV through its HDMI port. It gives consumers an instant access to TV shows, films, music, games, applications and photos. In addition to that, it offers some “exclusive features.” Among them will be a feature called ASAP that will offer instant streaming without any buffering and waiting.

Fire TV Stick also be very mobile-friendly. The gadget will be shipped together with a remote control. However, owners will be able to use their smartphone as a remote as well. In addition, consumers will have the option to fling TV shows and film from their tablet PC or smartphone to the Fire TV Stick or to mirror their smart gadget’s screen to Amazon’s new streaming device.

Fire TV Stick will offer a casual gaming experience to its users. The available games for the gadget feature Ski Safari, Monsters University, as well as Flappy Birds Family.

The upcoming streaming device features both video and music services, among which are Prime Instant Video, Netflix, WatchESPN, Hulu Plus, NBA Game Time, Spotify, Pandora, Prime Music and many more. In addition to that, users of Fire TV Stick will enjoy instant access to some of today’s hottest show, including Game of Thrones, House of Cards, The Wire, Orange is the New Black and Transparent. Both Chromecast and Roku Streaming Stick rely on a single-core, whereas Fire TV Stick has a dual-core processor. Amazon’s new streaming gadgets also offers two times more memory compared to Chromecast and 32 times more storage than Roku Streaming Stick. In addition to that the game selection for Amazon Fire TV Stick includes more than 200. In contrast, Roku offers less than 100 game titles and Chromecast – less than 30. And if that was not enough, Amazon also offers a gaming controller for Fire TV Stick which will be sold separately from the device.

Its price is just $39, which easily ranks it among the most affordable streaming media products on the market. Fire TV Stick is even cheaper than Roku 3 and Amazon’s Fire TV. Moreover, Amazon Prime members will even get it a special price. Prime subscribers will be able to purchase the Fire TV Stock for barely $19 during the first two days after the product’s announcement.

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick will start shipping on November 19. However, it is already available for pre-order from Amazon.com.
