World’s Best Airlines for 2014 Unveiled

Last year, Dubai’s Emirates was chosen World’s Best Airline, but in 2014, it falls to the fourth place after over 18 million airline passengers from 160 countries voted in the latest World Airline Awards by Skytrax. Still, three of the largest regional carriers, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways made it to the top 10 of the best airlines for 2014 list.

Skytrax just unveiled the winners of its annual World Airline Awards, which are being ranked based on the votes of millions of travelers. The survey asked more than 18 million airline passengers to vote in different categories, for features ranging from the quality of entertainment to cleanliness, and many others. The Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific claimed the award “World’s Best Airline for 2014” from last year’s winner Emirates, which fell to the fourth position. However, the Dubai-based carrier won “World’s Best First Class Airline Seats for 2014” and also the award for “Best Airline Inflight Entertainment”. Qatar Airways remains second best airline in the world, followed by Singapore Airlines. Qatar Airways is also “Best Airline in the Middle East”, “Best Airline Business Class Cabin”, as well as “Best Business Class Airline Lounge”.
