Competition and Consumer Commission said Thursday that it has given interim approval to a tie-up between airlines Virgin Blue Holdings Ltd. and Etihad. The airlines will cooperate on pricing and scheduling and the move is expected to add capacity between Abu Dhabi and Australia, the ACCC said.
