Jacky’s Gulf FZE, an authorised reseller of HP printers in the Gulf Region, during the Sign and Graphic Imaging 2010, is expecting the Middle East to signal demand for production of super wide format billboards as well as Point of Purchase (POP) displays in the next five years.

A specialised event dedicated to the Middle East’s signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries, the 12th SGI Exhibition is being held from 25th – 27th January 2010 at the Dubai Airport Expo Central Hall where Jacky’s Gulf will also exhibit its wide portfolio of products including the latest Latex Ink-based printer from HP. The water-based HP Latex Inks provide the benefits of solvent-ink technology and emit extremely low levels of volatile organic compounds. This allows us to provide our costumers with sustainable solutions for event branding and exhibit graphics projects.

“Last year, we have seen a shift in customer profile where the digital printing service provider is really growing. There was an increased focus on some customers who were looking at solutions that will best complement their existing setup for continuous growth.

“Many of our traditional customers had only solvent printers and moved onto using flatbed digital UV printers as they were provided with a whole new set of applications for them to target other sectors such as the interior design market, POP displays etc,” said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky’s Group of Companies.

During the exhibition, Jacky’s Gulf will highlight the HP Designjet L25500 printer, the latest printer that uses HP Latex Inks and HP Thermal Inkjet printing technologies to provide the best printing experience for low-volume Print Service Providers producing outdoor and indoor applications. Offering print service providers with print durability comparable to eco-solvent inks, the HP Designjet L25500 enables users to significantly reduce the impact of printing on the environment, and increase customer value.

Panjabi added, “In this year’s exhibition, we will be able to display different product categories from entry to medium to production products in both roll to roll and flatbed technology. Currently, HP is the only manufacturer in the world to have an eco-friendly green solution using the Latex ink technology. The launch of L25500 printer allows HP to move and target the mass-market segment of large-format printers.

“As the UAE government focuses on the environment, most of our customers are asking for more environmentally friendly products such as the Latex printers. The new L25500 printer is the ideal solution for small and medium digital print and sign shops, as well as copy shops and photo labs interested in offering an enhanced range of high impact indoor and outdoor applications and increasing their competitive advantage,” he furthered.

Other products on display at the Jacky’s Gulf stand are the 104-wide large-format HP Designjet L65500 printer, which also uses HP Latex Inks and delivers odourless prints; HP Designjet HP45500 printer that prints directly on rigid display boards such as foam and coroplast media or flexible media using UV-Curable inks; and the HP Scitex XL1500, the high speed super wide format digital printing system for roll to roll or roll to sheet printing. There is also the HP Scitex FB950 that can print on a wide range of rigid media applications such as glass, wood, tiles and aluminium.

Jacky’s Gulf has been participating at SGI since 2001 and is aiming to receive a good response and business leads from customers from all across the region. Jacky’s Gulf is exhibiting at Stand R2, Central Hall, Dubai Airport Expo. The company provides digital printing solutions in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
