United States Sports Academy National Faculty member, Dr. Dick DeSchriver, will travel to Dubai from 17-21 May to teach a course in Sports Business and Personnel Management, in conjunction with the Unlimited Sports Academy and the General Authority of Youth & Sports Welfare for the United Arab Emirates. The course is the fifth in a six-part series to be hosted by the Unlimited Sports Academy for the United States Sports Academy’s International Certification in Sports Management (or ICSM) program.
For nearly four decades, the Academy has provided programs in sport education to students throughout the nation and to 60 countries across the globe, including sports education programs with ministries of youth and sport.
As former Dean of Academic Affairs at the United States Sports Academy and currently as a member of the Academy’s national faculty, Dr. DeSchriver teaches courses in research, sport coaching and sport management in the Academy’s distance learning program. He has also served as the Dean of Health Sciences and Athletic Director at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, where he was Head Coach of the Men’s Track and Field and Cross Country teams for more than 20 years. Dr. DeSchriver received his Ph.D. in Physical Education from the University of Minnesota, his master’s degree from the University of Illinois and his bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of Notre Dame.
