The Fabled Maserati Quattroporte New Line Debuts

A new top-end line of the Trident’s most celebrated inventions, the Maserati Quattroporte, arrived to Doha today. Alfardan Sports Motors Company, a member of Alfardan Group and the exclusive importers of Maserati in Doha announced the launch of the exquisitely design for all connoisseurs who are looking to splash out on a new Maserati.

The full range of the new Maserati Quattroporte, which replaces the previous version, recently made its international début at the Paris Motor Show.

After five successful years with over 15,000 vehicles delivered and 49 international awards received, the Maserati Quattroporte, the model which created the concept of “Sport Luxury Sedan”, is now on display with a new look, new engineering enhanced with a new engine. Owing to the unmistakably skillful touch of Pininfarina, the Maserati Quattroporte has now been honed even further, with a fresher, more modern design that still denotes the class, exclusivity and elegance of a Maserati.

Two models will be available in Qatar: the Quattroporte, with its classic V8 engine (4.2 liters and 400 hp) and the Quattroporte S with a new V8 engine (4.7 liters and 430 hp). Both models have 6-speed automatic transmission, developed in partnership with ZF.
Mr. Umberto Cini, Managing Director Maserati Middle East & Africa, said: “For over 60 years, Maserati has been true to its guiding principle of “Excellence through Passion”, and it is today synonymous with the ultimate in high performance, hand-crafted, prestige automobiles. Maserati has produced the finest examples of automotive art with stunning creations that have won over 50 major international awards over the recent years; and this new range of Maserati Quattroporte will undoubtedly lead to similar impressive results and accreditations. We are very pleased to partner with such an esteemed market leader as Alfardan Sports Motors Company to bring this marvellous car to Doha, one of our highest growth markets.”
The major aesthetic changes have been made to the most distinctive features: the front of the car, with its striking new grille and vertical slats — an obvious extension of the GranTurismo style. The front and rear light clusters have also received a facelift, and now feature LEDs. The side view mirrors are also new, with a more aerodynamic shape and fitted even more seamlessly into the doors.

The interior features a new centre console with ergonomically-enhanced, better organized controls. The range of navigation systems has also been completely overhauled with the New Maserati Multimedia System. Two new leathers have been introduced for the first time on the Quattroporte S and Quattroporte respectively: Marrone Corniola and Sabbia — a reinterpretation of the beige already on offer.

Mr. Mohammed Kandeel, General Manager of Alfardan Sports Motors Company said: “Ever since the debut of the Maserati Quattroporte at the Paris Motor Show, savvy enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this stylish Italian craft to Qatar. Automobiles are lifestyle choices, and the need to stay distinct is a measure of one’s individuality; hence, we, at Alfardan Sports Motors Company, make sure to bring home the latest and very best of our brands in order to cater to the needs of our most discerning clients. Maserati is a time-honored mark of automobile excellence. Our long-standing association with the company has helped us understand the passion that goes into the making of every new car with the Maserati label. We are confident that this new line of Quattroporte will further turbo-charge the luxury automotive market of Qatar.”

Maserati has implemented a development plan for the next 5 years designed to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions, and to protect the environment. The designs of recent models have already led to considerable fuel savings. From 2005 onwards, consumption for the Quattroporte has been reduced by more than 20% overall. Maserati also uses environmentally-friendly, easily recyclable materials made from natural substances, especially for the interior parts which are most in contact with the driver and passengers. Maserati cars are mindful of the “design for recycling” concept, which is centered on making cars easy to dismantle at the end of their working lives, so that materials can be identified and separated for re-use.

Maserati is present today in 58 countries across the 5 continents with a total network of 259 dealers. New openings have taken place in key cities like Milan, Moscow, Kiev and Taipei.
The new line of Maserati Quattroporte will be showcased in Sports Motors Company showroom located on Grand Hamad Street.
