Curtains come down on momentous 15th edition of DSF

The 15^th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival came to a glittering close at the One and Only – Royal Mirage on Sunday, February 28, after 32 days of festivities across Dubai.

The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council; His Highness Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General, Government of Dubai Information; His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economic Department; Laila Suhail, CEO of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, Ibrahim Saleh, Coordinator General, and a host of important officials, in addition to local, regional, and international media. ADNOC to slash oil shipments in April

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced to reduce oil shipments to customers in April.

ADNOC stated that the allocated production cuts in April will be as follows: Murban 15 per cent, Lower Zakum 10 per cent, Umm Shaif 15 per cent and Upper Zakum 5 per cent. The shipment cargoes will be treated at Max/-5 per cent tolerance loading basis. It added that the move is in line with the commitment of the UAE to the oil production ceiling specified by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Dubai shares up 0.69%

Foreign investors net DFM sellers by AED 10.59 mln

Dubai Financial Market General Index (DFMGI) ended Sunday’s trading with a slight gain of 0.69%, or around 11 points, to settle at 1592.91, after hitting its intraday low of 1566.61 pts early in the session.

Trading volume neared 142.9 million shares, compared to 147 million shares on Thursday. Turnover rose from AED 221.3 million to approx. AED 230.5 million. The number of transactions reached 2986. Read more

New infrastructure to spur growth in logistics for GCC, says expert

More logistics infrastructure are expected to be created in the GCC that would pave the way for competitive logistics services, as regional governments, municipalities and private investors have placed logistics development on their agenda, said a logistics expert in the region.
