With Nissan’s luxury Infiniti brand aiming to increase its global market share to 10% by 2016, their new 2013 JX35 model will no doubt be expected to perform ably once it is released into the wild later this year. Fulfilling a perceived gap in a product line that ranges from the more substantial QX to the slightly more manageable EX and FX vehicles, the three-row, seven seater luxury crossover is poised to introduce a number of technological innovations that Infiniti hope will see it doing just as well in the Middle East as it has in its North American incarnation released earlier this year. Japan’s Nissan Motor to recall 21,675 vehicles in the UAE

Nissan announced today that it would recall 21,675 vehicles in the UAE, part of nearly 540,000 vehicles recalled worldwide, due to brake pedal defects and faulty fuel gauges, reported Al Khaleej Times.

Japan’s third-largest carmaker issued voluntary recalls on selected vehicles to check brake pins and correct fuel gauge inaccuracies, according to a statement issued by Nissan Middle East. Read more

Exclusive chance to drive away in a new Nissan 370Z with Colin McRae™: DiRT®2

Codemasters®, in alliance with Nissan, PlayStation, and Pluto Games, today revealed the details of the DiRT 2 virtual racing challenge that will leave one lucky winner driving home in a 2010 Nissan 370Z sports car with NISMO racing accessories. The challenge will see gaming fans compete on the recently launched Codemasters’ Colin McRae™: DiRT®2 featuring rally racing champion Mohammed Ben Sulayem and other top drivers from around the globe.

The tournament, which will be played on PlayStation®3 consoles, will start on October 1, 2009 at the Gamers Alliance Middle East Show 2009 (GAMES09) Dubai Festival City, and will run for 3 days. The tournament will then travel to Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Manama, and Doha to be held in Virgin Megastore showrooms. In Saudi Arabia the competition will be held at Tokyo Games showrooms in Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah. The finals will gather 1 person from each city across the GCC to battle it out in the last round in Dubai in Virgin Mega Store. Read more
