You will be able to see the works of some of the best local, regional and international landscape gardeners at The Venue, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard every day from 10.00 am. till 10.00 pm.
Dubai Art Season continues this week with the third edition of Middle East Film and Comic Con 2014, which will be held for three days at the Dubai World Trade Centre, starting Thursday. The huge event is of course the regional version of the legendary international Comic-Con in San Diego, and just like in the original, visitors can participate in various activities and competitions, dress up like their favourite superhero and meet their idols. For fans of manga, animation, movies and TV, and everything pop art, MEFCC will be a 3-day dream come true.
The most exciting event not only for the kids, but also for the whole family this week, is the coming of the legendary MGM movie musical The Wizard of Oz. Starting this Thursday, the musical will have several daily shows at Madinat Theatre at 1 pm./2.30 pm./6.00 pm./7.30 pm. until 18th April. Alongside UAE performers, there will be actors from London’s West End. The tickets are AED 200.

Along with Bride Dubai, Beyond Beauty Arabia 2014 will be held for the first time in Dubai, bringing experts from the leading brands in makeup, skincare, perfumes, hair care, nail care, spa and wellness, and so on. Visitors will receive free pampering treatments, make-overs and professional advice on beauty and style. Registration for the show is free and there will many shopping promotions and discounts, free treatments and gifts. The event takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre and start Wednesday.
The popular reggae/pop band of the 1980’s and 90’s UB40 Reunited is coming to the Irish Village in Dubai Thursday evening. Ali Campbell, the original voice of the band, as well as the two other founders of the Grammy-nominated band Astro and Mickey Virtue will perform their famous hits Food for Thought, Red Red Wine, and Can’t Help Falling in Love. Their gig starts at 9.pm. and tickets are AED 175.
On Saturday, head to Skydive Dubai (Palm Dropzone) to witness the attempt for breaking a world record – Ernesto Gainza will try to jump using a 35 foot canopy, which is the smallest parachute in the world! Don’t be late – the Fly the 35 Dubai World Record starts at 3.00 pm and will feature lots of entertainment for all ages.
