Age-Defying – 2015 World’s Most Beautiful Person is 50

Every year, People magazine announces its list of Most Beautiful People. The ranking is based on readers’ votes and it includes some of the most popular celebrities in the world of music, fashion, movies and television. Until now, there have been almost no surprises. The world’s most beautiful person is usually a woman within her 30s that is at the top of her fame. This year, the prestigious title again went to a glamorous lady. But there is one little precedent – she is 50 years old, which means that beauty criteria have finally started to turn around!

Actress Sandra Bullock was selected by People’s readers as the world’s most beautiful person. She is the 22nd person to hold the title, but the very first who is a quinquagenarian or simply said a person who is 50 years of age.

The previous such record belonged to Julia Roberts. People announced the “Pretty Woman” actress Most Beautiful Person when she was 42-years-old. Roberts is the only individual who has received this title four times. In addition, together with Leonardo DiCaprio, she is the youngest person to ever top People magazine’s Most Beautiful list. That happens back in 1991, when Julia Roberts was just 23.

Sandra Bullock, this year’s winner, has an interesting beauty criterion. For her, the most beautiful people are those who are not trying. Bullock has shared that she is not a fan of torturous workout regimen and prefer to train regularly, but without pressuring herself with goals. In addition, the actress has adopted a healthy diet rich in green juice after becoming a mother in 2010.

Second on the 2015 World’s Most Beautiful list is model 21-year-old Gigi Hadid, followed by Empire actress Taraji P. Henson who is 44. Further down the list are “All About That Bass” singer Meghan Trainor, actresses Laverna Cox, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Shay Mitchel. Another over-40 entry is Gabrielle Union who is also in the top 10 this year. Their average age is 27.
