Dubai Inn, on the of the city’s most recently introduced hotel brands, promises to attract guests in a few key locations with attractive prices and large rooms. It will be one of the few mid-range hotel brands in Dubai and will have the challenging task to diversify the city’s hospitality landscape. In addition, the Dubai Inn brand can potentially create up to 2,100 new jobs.
Dubai Inn is a joint venture project of Emaar and Meraas and includes the construction of five mid-range hotels. They will all be situated in different, but central areas of Dubai. Even though they will not be 5-star hotels, each of them will stand out in a key for tourism location. So, Dubai Inn guests will not be far from the city’s business and leisure facilities and activities. The brand’s flagship hotel will be build in Zabeel area. As a result, it will offer easy access to The Dubai Mall , Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai. The other four hotels will be located in Port Saeed, Al Wasl, Al Jaffiliya and Oud Metha.
All five of the Dubai Inn hotels will be in the mid-range category. This means that they will offer three or four stars rated hospitality, which is still a rare sight in a city like Dubai. According to the project’s developers, they aim is to attract travellers who are searching for great value, but still want to enjoy comfort and functionality. Despite their mid-range categorization, Dubai Inn hotels will offer gym facilities, a 24-hour boutique shop, free Wi-Fi connectivity, an urban restaurant, as well as a swimming pool with a sun deck.
The total number of hotel rooms and serviced residences in the five Dubai Inn hotels will be more than 1,750. Moreover, the size of each of the rooms will be over 26 square meters. In addition, many of the rooms will be connected.
However, it seems that not only Dubai visitors will benefit from the construction of this project. With such an impressive guest capacity, the hotels could easily employ between 1,500 and 2,100 people.
At present, only the flagship Dubai Inn hotel in Zabeel is under construction. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014, while the first hotel is expected to be ready next year. It is still not clear when the developers plan to start construction of the remaining four mid-range hotels of the brand. However, since Dubai Inn was announced as be part of Dubai’s Tourism vision, the hotels should probably be completed in time for World Expo 2020.
