Mobile Doctors 24-7 International invites Dr. Bruce Leff, American Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, to speak at the M+ Health Conference on the 24th of January, during Arab Health, 2012.

Imagine a child becomes sick with a fever in the middle of the night. The parents can not control the fever and the clinics are closed. Fearing for their child’s health, there is no other alternative but rush the child to the emergency room. If the parents had the option to call a 24-7 physician helpline or received home care services, the doctor would have been able to help them control their child’s fever in comfort of their home, saving time, money and valuable emergency room resources.
HauteLook Home 300x250 With the projected demand for patient care on the rise, it is no surprise that medical facilities are literally popping up everywhere across the UAE. Unfortunately, this trend of building multiple hospitals and clinics does not guarantee the quality of service that patients are expecting. This concern is the perfect example of why Dr. Bruce Leff developed the John Hopkins Hospital at Home Program, and why Mobile Doctors 24-7 International provides a around-the clock physician helpline health care service that will integrate care delivery systems that differ from the existing model in the UAE.

The Hospital at Home Program is designed to offer an alternative setting intended for those patients with “Chronic Conditions” who experience periodic acute episodes that may trigger hospitalization. The Mobile Doctors 24-7 model integrates an around-the-clock 24-7 physician helpline and home care service, which helps to alleviate gaps in the traditional health care system. “These programs together represent new options for patients, a source of care coordination, referrals as well as new home care options for providers and reduced health care costs for employers and payers,” said Adam Chilcote, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Mobile Doctors 24-7 International. “With our model of proactive care management, patients who need care don’t “fall through the cracks,” if they use our services. We are providing a new integrated model of care that combines access, quality, cost control and the best of the existing health system. We chose to extend our models of care from the United States to the United Arab Emirates because the U.A.E. embodies innovation and has made the health of its’ citizens, residents and visitors a top priority.”

In order to properly introduce the integrated models of alternative services, Dr Bruce Leff, Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, will give a presentation at the M+ Health Convention sessions taking place as part of Arab Health, highlighting the intrinsic value of the John Hopkins Hospital at Home Program; Around-the-Clock 24-7 Physician Helpline services and the importance of an integrated, multi-faceted model of care.
