The world premiere of the charity single and music video ‘Tomorrow-Bokra’ will be held in Dubai at an exclusive event next week.

The event will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Women Establishment, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs, UAE.

The by-invitation-only premiere of ‘Tomorrow-Bokra’ will be held at the One&Only The Palm, Dubai on 11.11.11 (November 11), the date chosen to signify the oneness of the event, said a statement.

The single is an Arabic re-adaptation of Quincy Jones Grammy-award winning song entitled ‘Tomorrow (A Better You, A Better Me).’ 24 Arab stars from 16 nations across the Middle East and North Africa feature in the single.

The recording process began in May in Rabat in collaboration with associate producer Mawazine Festival and continued in Doha in October, supported by associate producers Doha Film Institute and the Qatar Museums Authority.

The evening will be hosted by Global Gumbo Group, a joint venture between legendary music producer Quincy Jones and Emirati social entrepreneur Badr Jafar, both executive producers of the charity single and music video. Artists whose vocals feature on the track will also perform live for the exclusive gathering of VIPs at the event.

Sheikha Manal said: “It is a pleasure to extend my patronage to this noble event. I believe in the power of the arts to deepen our life experiences and to enrich and inspire us, and deeply agree with the conviction that we can better support the efforts of all causes by harnessing the social benefits of the arts as a means to enrich or to connect communities. Indeed, as the power of the arts to transform lives becomes more apparent, I look forward to working closely with the foundation as they connect with local and international causes over the benefits the visual arts can bring to our lives.”

The ‘Tomorrow-Bokra’ song and video will premiere live around the world via global TV simulcast from the Dubai event, regionally with MBC and on-line with YouTube-Google. CNN is the Global Media Partner and Sony Music is the Record Label Partner.

All proceeds raised from the charity project will finance educational programs in Music, Arts & Culture for children across the region, in association with a series of organizations including the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and the United Nations World Food Program.
