The sixth cycle of Emaar’s Best Garden Competition, an annual event organised by Emaar Community Management for residents of Emirates Living and Arabian Ranches, concluded with the award function at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club recently.

The competition is aimed at encouraging residents to enhance the aesthetics of the communities through active participation in gardening and landscaping. The entries were evaluated on the basis of creativity and attention to details by an expert panel of judges.

Mr Ahmad Juma Al Falasi, Executive Director – Property Management, Emaar Properties, said: “The response to the garden competition, as in earlier years, was tremendous. It highlights the sustained interest of our residents to develop aesthetic living environments. The entries also indicate the high level of interest in gardening and the amount of time and effort the residents are willing to set aside for the hobby.”

The competition was held in the categories of Best Large Garden, Best Small Garden, and Best Variety & Creativity. The winners are:

Best Large Garden: Ms Jackie Daair (Arabian Ranches – La Avenida) and Mr & Mrs Harley and Leonorah Boulter (Emirates Hills).

Best Small Garden: Ms Siobhan O’Reilly (Arabian Ranches – Alvorada 1) and Mr Shidrukh Rouhani (The Springs 6).

Best Variety and Creativity: Mr Schoyen Lars (Arabian Ranches – Alvorada 1) and Mr Graeme Oliver (The Meadows).

The winners were presented with trophies and gift vouchers for luxury treatments at The Spa, located at The Address Downtown Dubai, and photographs of their gardens by Emaar Community Management.
