The show begins with a young girl’s enigmatic rendition of a classical Chinese dance. The graceful performance is accompanied by soothing Chinese melody in the background and narrates the dancer’s moments of happiness and sorrow.
This is followed by a well-choreographed juggling of hats performed by two young jugglers. Other acts involve handkerchief spinning, umbrella spinning, martial arts performances and traditional dancing that mesmerize the young and the grown-ups alike.
The group of Chinese acrobat and circus performers has travelled the world with their various acts, having recently performed in Spain, US, and Russia. The Chinese Variety Show will go on till the end of DSF till February 28th with shows at 6:30pm, 8pm and 9pm.
