Apple Inc. has sent out invites to media representatives to an early March launch event, hinting that it may be dedicated to a long-anticipated wearable device, which is already listed at the official Apple Store.
The company has announced that it will organize a press event on March 9 (Monday), at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theatre in San Francisco. As usual, it keeps mum about the products and services it plans to launch or at least showcase. The invitations contain only a logo and the words “Spring forward.” Does that mean that Apple will speed up the Spring release of the Apple Watch?
In January, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO stated that the Apple Watch will be launched in April. Therefore, the technology giant may simply use the event to announce the exact launch date of the product, as well as to share more information about its features and capabilities.
Last September, Cook did discuss the Apple Watch during Apple’s iPhone 6 event. However, his presentation featured mainly photos of the gadget and not the gadget in practice. Also, the Apple Watch is first new product debut since the release of the iPad back in 2010. So, it deserves to have a separate event that will focus only on it.
Nevertheless, there is also the chance that the event may not be dedicated to Apple’s wearable. The company may be planning to unveil other products. For instance, it may release an update on its Apple TV. Another device we may see is the rumoured 12” iPad Pro or the MacBook Air with Retina Display. Both of these products have generated quite a lot of buzz online. In addition, fans have been anticipating their release for some time now. Apple could also reveal something about its mysterious smart car car project.
As the saying goes: “The more – the better.” In addition, that will finally put an end to all of the rumours and speculations on the smartwatch. Some of the latest claim that the Apple Watch will be shower-proof and that it will be introduced along with 100,000 smartwatch apps.
