Thiptara, meaning ‘Magic at the Water,’ further builds on its name with its waterfront al fresco dining out experience. The contemporary exterior of Thiptara is adorned with glowing torches that reflect on the Burj Dubai Lake. Inside, the ambience is distinctively Thai. Guests have the option of indoor and al fresco dining in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

The restaurant serves authentic Sukothai cuisine with a special emphasis on Bangkok-style seafood, which is specially selected from a live aquarium. Thiptara’s signature dish is Pla Nuang Manow which is steamed whole fish glazed with herbs and topped with a spicy, garlic and lemon sauce. In addition to this, its signature vegetarian dish is Tow Hu Phad Kraphow Krob, which is stir-fried bean curd with basil leaves and chili. Guests at Thiptara can enjoy a distinctive Thai menu, featuring many dishes unique to Dubai.

Female Head Chef Thasanee brings more than 14 years of experience in Thai cuisine to Thiptara, creating traditional Thai delights for the restaurants patrons. She works closely with her fellow colleague, Chef Nanthachai who brings an additional 10 years of experience including time spent cooking for The Royal Thai family and the Thai Prime Minister in his past career.

Thiptara came highly commended in the Time Out Best Thai Restaurant category in 2009. It is open for dinner only from 7pm and the restaurant adopts an elegant dress code, offering guests the perfect evening, with spectacular views of the world’s tallest tower. The Palace – The Old Town also features Asado, an Argentinean Grill restaurant that serves traditional La Parilla cuisine and Ewaan, an all-day-dining restaurant which specializes in a blend of Oriental cuisine.
