The intensely rumored new tablet of now the world’s richest tech public company will be announced on Wednesday, March 7, according to “sources who have been reliable in the past”.
An Apple blog says it is confirmed that the iPad 3 will have a quad-core processor, but it is not certain whether the new device will have LTE compatibility.
“People familiar with the matter”, as it is cited on the web, said Apple was preparing an LTE version for the Verizon and AT&T networks in the US. Read more

Amazon plans to launch a tablet computer by October, that is seen by some market observers as rival of Apple’s iPad . The company’s entry into the tablet market was hinted by Chief Executive Jeff Bezos last week.
Amazon’s tablet will have an approximately nine-inch screen and will run on Google’s Android platform. Unlike the iPad , it won’t have a camera. While the pricing and distribution of the device are unclear, it was leaked out that the online retailer won’t design the initial tablet itself, but it is outsourcing production to an Asian manufacturer. Three models of the PlayBook will be available in more than 20,000 retail outlets, RIM said.
