Dubai Municipality to complete 10 prestigious projects

Eng. Hussain Nassir Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, has said that the civic body is in great confidence to accomplish the two ambitious tourism projects, the Dubai Safari and Dubai Frame by the end of 2014.
In addition eight high-tech specialized markets across the different areas of the emirate are being developed aiming to decentralize the business activities to more spacious and comfortable places enabling the visitors of the emirate, tourists and residents meet their shopping requirements away from the traffic congestion of the city.
Abu Dhabi launches investment, recreational and service projects in partnership with private sector

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is braced for launching a host of property developments and service projects capable of bolstering the municipal assets in tourist, recreational and business fields.
The projects are set to be undertaken in partnership, cooperation and integration with the private sector under the Build, Operate ‘&’ Transfer (BOT) model, without involving the allocation of any public funding for the implementation of these projects. Read more

Emaar has announced plans to launch new projects in Dubai this year
Emaar Properties PJSC plans to start and restart building two residential developments in Dubai, according to various media sources.
It is very much possible the developer to restart previously shelved projects. Back in 2009, Emaar reportedly put on hold 13 projects due to lack of investors’ interest. The property downturn had forced many developers to allow investors who have already paid deposits to transfer them to developments that progressed ahead as planned. Therefore, few of Emaar’s Downtown projects have been shelved, including: M-Burj, The Mansions, Burj Place, Grand Boulevard, 18 Boulevard, Burj Park and Claren Phase 2 projects. Read more

New power, water, and energy projects valued at US$180 billion are underway or at the planning stages in the Middle East, as the UAE forges ahead with 20 projects worth US$34.2 billion.
Spearheaded by the US$20 billion Nuclear Power Plant in Abu Dhabi, which began construction late in 2011, the UAE will be one of the most active markets in the power, water and energy sectors over the next two years, at a time when power demand across all GCC countries is expected to grow 8 to10 per cent annually. His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, highlighted the interest of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in the human race in the UAE, and to provide all resources necessary to raise the level of social welfare for citizens.
This statement came during the Fourth Annual Ceremony of the Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship, currently being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed forces.
