4th of May marked 35th anniversary of the first “Star Wars” release

 Do you remember Darth Vader and the excitement the Star Wars Saga brought into your life at some point of the time? It seems many of us are still quite fond of the saga, because the Blu-Ray version  of it briefly topped product charts recently.

The 4th of May marked 35th anniversary of the first “Star Wars” release. Additionally, it was 29 years ago that “Return of the Jedi” closed out the original trilogy of the space saga that defined cinema for a generation of moviegoers and future filmmakers. Read more

The 84th annual Oscar Academy Award selections were announced this morning in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Empire to distribute Imagenation Abu Dhabi’s local films across MENA region

Imagenation Abu Dhabi has signed an exclusive agreement with Empire International, to distribute Imagenation Abu Dhabi’s locally produced slate to theatres and on DVD throughout the MENA region.

The agreement will begin with the distribution of Imagenation Abu Dhabi’s first two local film productions, the coming-of-age story, Sea Shadow, directed by acclaimed Emirati film director Nawaf Al-Janahi (The Circle), and the Arabian horror thriller, Djinn, directed by horror genre master Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Poltergeist).
