KidZania celebrates 2nd anniversary and DSF

The colours of the world, drawn from all the seven continents, will come alive at KidZania, the award-winning children’s edutainment centre managed by Emaar Retail LLC in The Dubai Mall, this month.
Marking the second anniversary of the children’s city, which offers the little ones over 80 professional role plays that simulate real-life professions, the ‘Colours of the World’ celebration at KidZania will be held all month until February 5, 2012, coinciding with Dubai Shopping Festival, the region’s largest shopping and entertainment extravaganza. Watani kids realize future dreams at Kidzania

As part of the Watani children’s spring camp, a group of children spent an entire day at the unique Kidzania attraction in Dubai Mall, an amazing environment of mini cities with jobs, role play and a fun sense of responsibility in the community.

The trip was one of the dozens of educational and entertaining activities of the Watani programme during Dubai Shopping Festival, specifically designed to help develop the children’s practical skills.

Kidzania was the perfect example of the goals Watani is hoping to achieve, linking the traditional values of independency, leadership, and decision making with the practical skills of a modern world to make a brighter future.

Children can soon experience their ambition to become anything from pilots to fashion models to doctors or bankers, as the first KidZania® edutainment attraction in the Middle East opens in The Dubai Mall in the third quarter of this year. Based on role play, the oldest game of all, KidZania® is one of the world’s most popular children’s entertainment concepts and is readying for opening at the mall shortly.

Essentially a scaled-down city featuring all business and social components of a bustling metropolis, KidZania® at The Dubai Mall offers up to 70 roles for children to play ranging from doctors, engineers, teachers, construction workers, artists and mechanics, among others.
