InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is reminding Iftar diners who have received their ‘Stay 3. Pay 2’ long weekend vouchers to register them online at www.3for2weekend.com before 15th October, and automatically be entered into a draw to ‘Win a Three Nights Stay over Eid Al Adha’.

IHG Iftar diners receive vouchers which entitles them to book a three-night weekend stay and pay for only two nights at participating InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels and resorts across the Middle East and Africa, between 21 September 2009 and 31 August 2010. Each voucher is valid for up to two adults and two children under 12 sharing a room.

Watani distributes harees in Abu Dhabi

Zayed Residence beneficiaries and volunteers participate in the distribution

Harees 1 Building on the successful Haress distribution initiative undertaken by Watani across the UAE to uphold the old national tradition, more than 20 Watani volunteers accompanied by 80 beneficiaries of Zayed Residence, distributed Harees plates before Iftar to the residents of Al Shahama, Al Rahba, Al Bahia in Abu Dhabi.

The distribution was followed by an Iftar ceremony at the Officers Club of Abu Dhabi Police attended by representatives from the Red Crescent and mothers of some of the beneficiaries of Zayed Residence. The initiative aims at enhancing the spirit of social convergence between all members of the society and to bring happiness and joy to their hearts. This is also aimed at integrating the beneficiaries of Zayed Residence with the larger society by encouraging their participation in social activities in addition to strengthening their commitment to the national heritage.

GE Volunteers hosts Iftar for special needs children

Community event organized at “Senses – Residential & Daycare for Special Needs” in  Dubai  for 20 children

GE Volunteers 1GE Volunteers, a voluntary network through which GE fosters the development of the communities where GE employees work and live, hosted an Iftar for special needs children at the “Senses – Residential & Daycare for Special Needs” center for rehabilitation in Dubai.

The Iftar, which was attended by 20 students, is part of several community initiatives being organized by GE Volunteers in line with the corporate social responsibility of the company.

Lara El Saad, UAE Leader of GE Volunteers said: “GE Volunteers is committed to building partnerships with the local community, and community Iftars highlight the spirit of camaraderie and sharing that marks the Holy Month of Ramadan. Our initiative to host the Iftar for students at the Senses Center is our third activity for GE Volunteers in the UAE and reiterates our focus on reaching out to all cross-sections of the society, especially children.”

ENOC distributes Iftar boxes to customers

Initiative is organised in cooperation with Dubai Police Al Ameen Service

ENOC Dubai Police Ramadan Campaign Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) is continuing its Ramadan tradition this year too by distributing Iftar boxes that include dates and water to customers who visit the service stations during the Iftar time.

The initiative is being organised in partnership with Dubai Police Al Ameen Service, across all ENOC/EPPCO service stations in Dubai.

“The gesture has always been welcomed by customers and is ENOC’s way of celebrating the spirit of Ramadan with customers,” said Saif Al Falasi, ENOC Group General Manager.

Al Yusr Islamic banking service launches its “Do Good Deeds” campaign with an Iftar tent to welcome fasters throughout Ramadan

Al Yusr Islamic banking service launched today the annual Do Go Deeds in the Month of Charity campaign comprising a number of community-serving endeavors aiming at engaging and supporting various sectors of the public during Ramadan.

The campaign commences with the Al Yusr tent erected for the second year running near Doha’s C-Ring road (Al Hilal area) and facing the Hisham Bin Mugheir Mosque.

The Al Yusr tent is poised to welcome and accommodate 100 people on a daily basis providing them with Iftar meals, supported by a group of staff volunteers from both Al Yusr Islamic banking service and IBQ.

The tent, organized in collaboration with Sheikh Eid Charitable Association, is one of many other initiatives planned for the holy month.
This year’s Do Good Deeds campaign will also see the bank’s team members celebrating the yearly-awaited festive tradition of Garangao with children and families in Doha. Additionally the bank will embark on a donation drive to various charitable organizations in Qatar.

‘Stay 3. Pay 2’ campaign to run throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is celebrating Ramadan as a time for family and friends to come together by offering free nights at more than 60 of its hotels across the Middle East and Africa.

Guests who enjoy Iftar at participating InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon can book a three-night weekend stay and pay for only two.

Iftar diners receive a voucher which can be redeemed for the ‘Stay 3. Pay 2’ weekend offer at 62 InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in 10 Middle East and Africa countries.

Each voucher entitles a guest to a third free night for a maximum of two adults and two children under 12, providing they book their stay between September 21 and August 31, 2010.
