The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has announced the key performance indicators of the emirate’s rapidly-expanding Dubai hotels industry for the first quarter of 2012 which showed a nine per cent increase in guest numbers, 24 per cent increase in revenues, 22 per cent jump in guestnights and a 12 percent rise in the average length of stay. Half million visit Global Village during the first 10 days of DSF

Global Village, Member of TECOM Investments, achieved a new record by welcoming 500,000 visitors in the first 10 days of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) this year.

Global Village was able to enhance its status as the best entertainment venue in the region by achieving a new record. This record was the highest number of visitors Global Village attracted, more than any entertainment project in the region. Read more

World’s biggest gold ring worth $3 million displayed during DSF

Established in 1958 Kanz Jewels, one of UAE’s leading and oldest Jewellery brands is currently displaying  in Dubai the world’s largest gold ring weighing approximately 64 kg’s. The ring is displayed with a ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ certificate.

This is one of the major attractions for tourists in Dubai’s Gold Souk in Deira including Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty who visited the largest Kanz Jewels’ largest showroom yesterday. In the recent past several celebrities including Hollywood actors Nicholas Cage, Steven Siegal, cricketer Brian Lara and several other Bollywood artists like Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover have visited the Kanz showroom in Deira Gold Souk.
