Dubai Chamber prepares for 3rd Dubai Business Gala

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is putting the final touches on preparations for the 3rd Dubai Business Gala, which will be held on November 29, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, and Chairman of Dubai Airports.

The gala, held at the Madinat Jumeirah, is the premier meeting of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region, attracting more than 1,000 business leaders, including prominent VIPs and heads of Dubai’s business groups and councils. This year it is sponsored by Emirates Airline. Read more

Dubai Chamber organises Ramadan Festival

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising a Ramadan Festival for all members of the community at Dubai World Trade Centre, from August 1st to 31st. The month-long Dubai Chamber Ramadan Festival will run alongside Dubai Sports World, a new indoor sporting initiative which encourages children and young people to play sports, and will offer Suhour business networking opportunities, religious activities as well as sporting and charity events. Dubai businesses get insight into the role of Dubai Courts

Always looking for avenues to offer a crucial line of communication between Dubai’s private and public sectors, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the 2nd Talk Business at Breakfast networking event at its premises on Thursday, April 28.

This time, the Chamber invited H.E. Dr Ahmed Saeed Bin Hazim Al Suwaidi, Director General, Dubai Courts, who provided the representatives of the private sector with an insight into the role of Dubai Courts, especially the setting up of specialized courts including the Commercial Court that facilitates settlement of disputes before being referred to the judicial courts. In a move to support the business community in the country, Emcredit, the UAE’s first government-backed credit bureau, and Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Under the terms of the agreement, Dubai Chamber and Emcredit will cooperate to raise awareness on the role of credit information and its significance in helping businesses gain greater access to credit and facilitating trade credit between businesses.

This will allow businesses to enhance their credit risk management processes and sustain business growth in a prosperous trading environment.  Furthermore, Emcredit and Dubai Chamber will organise a series of conferences and roundtable discussions to promote credit information sharing amongst businesses. As a specialised credit information company, Emcredit provides the commercial sector with a platform to share credit experiences and payment performance information on their customers, through a secured environment.
