Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council to issue “Emirati Careers” in accordance with Turret Middle East
Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turret Middle East, by which a monthly magazine, named “Mihan Emiratiya” (or Emirati Careers), will be publicly released in UAE. The magazine will tackle Emiratization issues in UAE in general, and Abu Dhabi in particular.
Today, at ADTC headquarters, Mr. Mubarak Al Ameri, Director of Marketing and Communications, from ADTC, and Mr. Andy Buchanan, from Turret Middle East, have both signed the MoU.
‘Mihan Emiratiya’ will focus on all issues, plans, and strategies as both relevant and contributing to Emiratization domestically. It will be the first-of-its-kind release in Abu Dhabi to deal with Emiratization, and shed light on the interests of job seekers and employers alike as well as the needs of job market in the UAE capital.
Under the MoU, Turret Middle East will be responsible for all technical and financial concerns of the magazine, whereas ADTC will oversee the content materials to be published, and contribute with Emiratization news and events.
The magazine’s mission is to focus mainly on covering all Emiratization-related aspects, stressing the fact that it is everybody’s responsibility. In addition, it will give special attention to relevant social, economic, and technological implications and challenges against National job seekers. Among other goals and objectives that the magazine will undertake is to: increase the Private Sector’s awareness of the importance of Emiratization, coordinate between the government and the private sector in connection with vacant jobs and job seekers, inspire experienced Nationals to work in the Private Sector, encourage private entities to invest in National human capital, and increase the engagement of local jobseekers in the labor market..
The monthly magazine will also highlight current and prospective development plans of Abu Dhabi regarding the human resources and its significant influence in emerging industries such as technology, space, renewable energy, and health sectors. In addition, the magazine will cast the light on: the importance of education and training to provide jobseekers with knowledge and skills required in our labor market. As the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is building a knowledge based economy, ADTC plays a key role to coordinate with other Government entities and training providers in order to enhance jobseekers qualifications and raise the local talent engagement in specific economic activities such as Energy, healthcare, tourism and finance.
These economic activities are covered by the magazine in monthly features articles that focus on jobseekers success stories, successful Emiratization business models and mechanisms, available vacancies and other researches and studies equipped with documented figures and statistics.
