In April, the annual furniture fair Salone del Mobile in Milano, showcased the home collections of fashion brands as Versace, Armani and Bottega Veneta. The patterns were bold and prints ubiquitous. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the definitive luxury brand Versace’s Home Collection, with its perfect blend of design and fashion.The collections includes limited edition gold-finished furniture to Versace’s 3D collection.

INDEX, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest and longest established Interiors and DesignExhibition, concluded last week in Dubai on a high note, with exhibitors and visitors expressing satisfaction with the superb standards of participant’s showcases.
Many new and innovative interior decoration concepts were on display, but the one that attracted an exceptionally large number of visitors belongs to the Sharja based Rasheed Al Hallak Marble Cutting & Scratch SHJ (RHM). The company has developed a brand new arabesque design wall cladding in three dimensions. The unique blend of marble, stone and crystal gold epoxy literary transforms walls into artworks. The elegant wall panels are most suitable for outdoor and indoor decoration of high-end residential properties, luxury hotels, retail and leisure outlets.
Generally, it takes a minimum of thirty days to complete a single wall, but the timeframe can vary depending on the size of the project.
Rasheed Hallak Marble’s exhibition boot was designed by the company’s interior and marble design department manager Miss Tannaz Shoaei Rad and it is one of the first projects of the company employing the new technology. Miss Rad has graduated from the Tehran University of Fine Arts Rassam Honar and later received professional diploma in interior design accredited by Edexcel, UK. Read more

INDEX will celebrate its 21st Anniversary as the Middle East and North Africa’s largest and longest established Interiors and Design Exhibition when it opens at the Dubai World Trade Centre this week. Running from October 22-25, 2011, the first day of INDEX will be a special Saturday as part of the Festival of Interior Design for the public who can witness the latest trends and innovations from over 900 exhibitors from almost 50 countries, along with a host of exciting features the show has to offer.

The Contemporary Majlis Competition will run for the third consecutive time at this year’s INDEX Exhibition, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest and longest established Interiors and Design Exhibition, from October 22-25, 2011. This year’s competition will feature six leading Middle East interior designers who will be tasked with designing a contemporary Majlis, showcasing their vision of the traditional Arabic space with a modern cutting edge and innovative design.
This year’s six finalist designers include Sinmar Al-Said of Internal Line Interior Design, Ghandour El Habre of Khatib & Alami, Mimi Shakshashir of o’de rose, Carrie Das of AHK International, Basak Yuksel of PF Emirates Interiors and Sven Mueller of SVEN M. Read more
Palazzo Versace Dubai bedding revealed

Emirates Sunland Group, the joint venture developers of Palazzo Versace Dubai, and Versace has unveiled the first “fully dressed” and completed condominium residence as its showcase residence on site.
The bedrooms of Palazzo Versace Dubai suites suites are all fully dressed in a selection of light blue, lilac, cream and peach pastel silk and linen home ware ranges.
The master bedroom suite measures 380 sqft (35 sqm) and this is not inclusive of the en-suite area. The master bedroom is dressed with the most elegant of the classic Versace fabric and linen range, designed specifically for the condominiums. The master bedroom also has a grand walk in closet complete with bespoke hand laid wood parquetry.
Each bedroom suite has a stunning en-suite bathroom featuring a collection of the finest mosaic and marble designs and sunblasted glass, complete with hand laid and cut diamond lagoon green marble flooring.
