The iPhone 3GS is set to transform the definition of smart phones. Combined with the iPhone OS 3.1 Software Update, Apple has added several important new strengths to the iPhone with a strong focus on its speed upgrade.  iPhone 3GS features a whole host of highly sought after features such as a better 3MP camera with video recording, Voice Control, up to 32GB of storage, stereo Bluetooth and more.

The iPhone 3GS has an enhanced built-in camera upgraded to a 3 megapixel version and an autofocus function that aids the iPhone 3GS camera’s output in the ability to focus, which the previous iPhone camera lacked. An additional feature of the new phone is video recording that allows users to record 30-fps VGA video, perfect for posting on the web, in portrait or widescreen landscape. With the iPhone 3GS, Apple has added voice-command functionality, but the new Voice Control feature adds not just voice dialing, but voice control of the iPod features as well. The addition of a compass to the iPhone 3GS provides orienteers with a smartphone that differentiates between magnetic north and true north. The iPhone 3GS tech specs have a battery life of up to five hours of talk time (12 if you turn off 3G networking), five hours of Internet use (nine on Wi-Fi), 10 hours of video playback, 30 hours of audio playback, and 300 hours of standby time. iPhone 3GS also includes built-in Nike + iPod support to monitor the users workouts. The iPhone 3GS is thus capable of tracking distance, calories, pace, and workout duration during a run.
