Etisalat shortlisted as the ‘Best Brand’ and ‘Best International carrier’ for the ‘World Communications Awards 2008′

Nomination reinforces Etisalat’s commitment to become one of the top 10 global telecom service providers by 2010

Etisalat is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for the coveted “Best Brand” and ‘Best International Carrier’ categories of the ‘World communication awards, 2008′. The nomination not only acknowledges Etisalat as one of the leading telecom service providers across the world but also reinforces Etisalat’s commitment to become one of the top 10 telecom service provider by 2010. Previously, Etisalat has won multiple accolades including the ‘Best Overall Operator’ in 2007 by Telecom World Magazine and the ‘Best New Technology Provider’ at ITP’s Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2007.

The World Communication Awards aim to recognize outstanding achievements in the telecommunications and IT industries. Approximately 50 major carriers and vendors across the world are shortlisted across 15 categories. Etisalat would be competing with 4 global telecom service providers to compete for the ‘Best Brand’ and the ‘Best International Carrier’ award.  The winners will be announced in London on 26th November 2008.
