The Largest Ever Emirates Golf Federation Summer Swing in Dubai

On September 9, 2016, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) hosted the EGF Summer Swing at Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE). 98 EGF Members took to the Earth Course in the largest EGF Summer Swing since the start of the events three years ago. Sponsored by Hilton – Abu Dhabi and GolfLan, the event showcased valuable prizes for the golfers to shoot for. Winning the largest EGF Summer Swing event with a score of 45 Stableford Points was Galen Carroll and Alex Farquharrson.

Playing on Jumeirah Golf Estates’ (JGE) Earth Course, the home of the DP World Tour Championship – the final tournament of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai, is always a treat for EGF Members. With two courses and a stunning clubhouse, JGE was the ideal venue to host the final and largest EGF Summer Swing of the year.

Playing well together under the Paris Better Ball Stableford format and claiming the First Place prize was Galen Carroll and Alex Farquharrson. The EGF Direct Members combined for an impressive 45 points.

After a back nine-hole count back, JGE Members Lawry Cook and Michael White finished in Second Place was with 44 points. Rounding out the top three teams and coming in Third Place where Jaco Van Heerden and Duayne de Waal with 44 points.

Collecting the Fourth Place prize was Ben Mulvaney and Nick Hymas with 41 points.

There were also “On Course Competitions” that were up for grabs during the event. For the Ladies’ Nearest to the Pin Competitions Anne Bauer won on Hole 6 and National Team Member, Reema Al Heloo won on Hole 17. For the Men’s Nearest to the Pin Competitions, Chris Park won on Hole 4 and Nick Humas won on Hole 17.
