The traditional shows of The Laughter Factory return on Thursday with a new lineup, featuring Mick Ferry, Geoff Norcot and David Hadingham. You can see them at the Movenpick Hotel at JBR with tickets at AED 140 per person. On Thursday and Friday, there will be Comedy Nights with Anuvab Pal, one of India’s top comedians. His show will take place at DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates, with regular entrance at AED 75. The Chuckle Club International Comedy Tour presents UK comedians Tiff Stevenson and Gareth Richard alongside American stand-up Billy Wayne Davis. They can be seen on Thursday night at the Emirates Golf Club, and on Friday – at Movenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate.
On 7th and 8th May, the Madinat Theatre is hosting the Short+Sweet plays – a collection of seven of the world’s most popular 10-minute plays, performed by local-based actors. “Dans La Peau De Cyrano” is for all French-speaking fans of more traditional theatre experiences. It tells the story of a student, called Colin, and his drama teacher, blending it with the life of Cyrano De Bergerac. The play can be seen on Friday and Saturday at DUCTAC from 3 pm. Another French play is also coming at DUCTAC with shows starting at 11 am. – Le Voyage Fe La Fee Melodie, which is an interactive experience, combining theatre, music, shadow play and illusion. Tickets for both are AED 150.
One of the hottest TV and music stars in the Philippines, Anne Curtis, is now coming to Dubai for a live concert. Her show takes place this Thursday at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium with tickets ranging from AED 100 to AED 350. And on Friday, you can enjoy the unique classical pianist duo Kotova & Borovikov, who will perform compositions from Bach, Mozart, Strauss and even contemporary works at The One & Only Royal Mirage. Entry is AED 250, while VIP seats are priced at AED 550.
