Eid Al Adha Celebrations to Run for 17 Days in Dubai

This year,  Eid Al Adha will probably fall on Sunday, October 5, but in Dubai, the celebrations will start next week on September 25. Residents and guests of the city will enjoy shopping promotions, family-themed entrainment and various shows, which will run for 17 days.

The Eid Al Adha holiday usually continues for three days, with several non-working days for employees in both the public and the private sector. However, this year, Dubai will have longer-lasting festivities and workers most probably will get between 6 and 9 non-working days off.

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) announced 17-day Eid Al Adha celebrations, which will attract tourists from the country and the region with various initiatives and promotions. According to the agency, the holidays will boost the growth of the retail, travel and hospitality, and entertainment industries in the city.

They will feature a wide array of events, including family-themed activities, comedies and musical concerts, as well as shopping promotions. The special celebrations will run for 17 days, starting 25th September through 11th October. Many shopping centers and malls across Dubai will extend their opening hours, as it usually happens around holidays in the city. Shoppers can expect many sales and holiday promotions. Also, from 2nd October, residents will be able to enjoy the Eid fireworks at the Kite Beach every night at 9.00 pm.

Some of the Eid events have already been announced. These include performances from Australia 10 Tenors, the famous Comedy Circus, as well as daily shows during the Rhythm of Arts. It will be held from 5th to 11th October at Zabeel Park and will feature musical concerts by popular regional bands and street artists. Many of the hotels in Dubai already offer special Eid Al Adha packages and promotions to attract more tourists during one of the biggest holidays.
