As a huge step in its expansion across the Middle East and Africa, Marriott International announced on Sunday the official opening of two new hotels in Dubai. Located near Zabeel Palace, the two new properties are showcasing new brand transformation, including a new logo, re-designed lobbies and public spaces.

The hospitality company unveiled its two new hotels on Sunday, the Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf and the Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, which are opening doors this month. They are located near Zabeel Palace and are only 10 minutes from the Dubai Mall, Dubai International, and the Gold Souk. Under the company’s global flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, the two properties are introducing a new brand’s strategy and further strengthening its popularity in the region. The Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf is the first property in MENA, showcasing the new look. With a brand-new logo, “M”, the hotel will also boast attractive, re-constructed lobby and other public spaces, called “Greatrooms”. In addition, focusing on its guests, it will launch an innovative and convenient mobile check-in application.

The 8-floor Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf has 352 guest rooms, while Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf is offering 128 fully furnished one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Currently, it is the sixth property in the brand’s portfolio for the region, but another six will be launched across MENA by 2017. The Group has 16 hotels in seven different countries in the Middle East and Africa, offering more than 5000 rooms. Totally, Marriott has over 40 properties in the Middle East and Africa and another 40 in the pipeline, according to official numbers from the second quarter of 2013.

Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director of Marriott International Middle East and Africa, also announced that they are working with Nilona Holding, which are owners of the two new properties. According to him, the opening of Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf and the Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf is in line with the industry growth, expected to take place over the next several years as Dubai is preparing to host Expo 2020.
