Biographies of featured artists:

Ami Patel

“Painting is a constant dialogue arising between myself and reality and the supernatural” – says Ami Patel. She attended the renowned Sir J. J. School of Art in Mumbai where she earned her Masters in Fine Art in Portraits achieving a Distinction of having 1st rank in her class. She has quite a few awards to her credit namely the Maharashtra State Art Award, a Government of India scholarship for 2 years etc. For Ami, painting is a painted preparation for the soul, an expression of the subconscious.
She feels very close to nature and adores all natural objects and living beings, which takes her to a different world. The natural ambiance stays with her forever.

Ompal Sansanwal:

Ompal is born in 1963. He has earned his BFA in 1987 & MFA in 1992 from College of Art. Sansanwal’s works are easily identified by the convoluted labyrinth-like maze of colours through which he depicts his larger themes. The figurative elements of his depictions merge effortlessly into the soft curves and lines of their geometric backgrounds, accentuating the intertwining of nature and the being, and provoking viewers to unravel their stories. He has got National Award in 2002, All India Award, 1991.

Bhuwan Silhare:

Bhuwan is born in 1974, at Gondia, Maharashtra. He is educated at MSW (LW & PM) -1999 Nagpur University. Bhuwan is as unique as his art and the city itself. Just like a typical Mumbaikar, he is adept at multi-tasking, deftly balancing two parallel professions – that of a pragmatic corporate executive during office hours and an imaginative painter in the evenings and on weekends. Bhuwan, who travels daily between Thane and CST, is besotted by the city heritage landmarks. He is credited with many awards such as the 2006 Bombay Art Society Award for best Landscape Painting.
