An Education Expo featuring 25 top American Universities will be held this month in Abu Dhabi and Dubai early next March.

This event is supported by the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US consulate in Dubai, representatives from Education USA and the US Embassy will be present at the events in both cities to give out information on higher education and the student visa process in the USA.

Universities in attendance wish to meet aspiring students who hope to pursue educational and personal experiences. This expo offers students and parents the benefit of receiving first hand information on undergraduate and postgraduate programs from representatives of 25 top universities in the US and offers everyone the chance to ask questions about scholarships, academic programs, US student visa, and student life at each institution.

The public is invited to attend this free expo on March 1, 2013 in Abu Dhabi and in March 2, 2013 in Dubai from 6-8 pm. 25 US University representatives look forward to meeting you at the Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi on March 1 and at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai March 2 to discuss their institutions.

The main highlights of these Education Expos are the merit-based scholarships available at most participating universities. Merit based scholarships offered range from $10,000 to full tuition for graduate and undergraduate degrees. US Universities in attendance are hoping to connect with international students to increase the current number of international students at their institutions and also fill empty spaces in their degree programs for engineering, computer and natural sciences, liberal arts and many other majors.

Colleges across the USA have reported a steady decline in the number of engineering and science majors graduating from US Colleges and Universities. Currently, there is a very high need in these fields, but few American students select to major in these professions. To continue producing graduates for these in-demand fields, many US Universities have shifted their focus of recruitment for these majors to international students. There are over 600,000 foreign students studying in the US as America is still is the number one destination for foreign students to pursue their higher education.

The expos in Abu Dhabi and Dubai represent a free chance for potential future students and parents to meet face to face with representatives from the top 25 U.S universities. Students should bring multiple copies of their report cards, transcripts, TOEFL scores, etc. to this event.
